Mary, Mary, quite contrary...

(Funny how, in that rhyme, Americans pronounce "conTRARY" like the British, instead of the usual "CONtrary)."

But this is about my garden. I'm gonna try to add a picture. If not, I'll put them on my Flickr site.

We have a small space that was grass free when we moved in, because the former occupant had a storage shed there. It just seemed like a natural place to plant some things. I have peas and carrots on one side of the path, and strawberries, onions, garlic, carrots, and lettuce on the other side. Last night I took a couple of pictures.

That's a lot of things for a small space. I just planted my tomatoes this morning. The only other thing I will plant is some okra.jc

Ganeida,
I think the traditional gardening method for England is to plant in hopes of good weather and then spend the rest of the season complaining about the weather. So far this Spring has been lovely, and it should be frost-free from now til October. Plenty of time for my cool weather crops.

JC,
It is a little crowded on the strawberry side. I planted the lettuce and carrot seeds after the initial strawberries died, but then we got some more... Anyway, onions don't take up much room, and we'll eat the lettuce before it gets too big. Ewww, okra. :-)

smirking at your gardening theory over here ;o)

Thanks for the smirk.
In the other house, I was getting deliveries from a local organic operation, and that was pretty much how they explained things in their newsletter. Of course I sum up a bit. ;-)
I do have sense to not try tomatoes and squash, but peas and lettuce ought to make it.
