What we did yesterday.
I'm rather tired to be typing, so I'll let my little friend do the talking for me.
Yesterday, we went from this:
To this:
Followed by this:
With a little of this on the side:
And then, just to keep from getting bored, I did this:
Wil, I used to really enjoy a thick carpet, but as my allergies have gotten worse I can appreciate the simplicity of wood. I guess you haven't seen the building pics yet, since Bob switched to Facebook from Flickr. :-/ I'll try to get some.
Mom, the floor is in great shape considering its age. The carpet pad was tacked, not glued, so a refinish isn't immediately necessary, but I would like to get a seal and gloss on it before too long (or we will need the sanding much worse). I think we have enough pickles now that I will part with a jar or two.

Cool!
I'm a fan of carpet over wood, but in your case I think the wood looks great and that carpet needed to go. Great job.
And your building (with all the boxes) is larger than our entire back yard... Wow.
The wood floor looks good -- you sure you need to refinish it? The pickles look good too. :) mums
