99.9% positive it is a Liriodendron tulipifera L.
Common names: tuliptree, tulip poplar, yellow poplar (but it's not a poplar)

This looks like a poplar leaf. I'm not sure what kind though. What color were the "seed pods"?

Plant 1 - sorta, kinda looks like Shasta daisy leaves.
Plant 2 - ???
Maybe they will soon have flowers that will help identify them.
